:: INSTRUCTIONS ::
Just click on the games to play, they will automatically create “Microsoft Games” in your PROGRAM FILES, and will add a shortcut to your start menu under Vista_Games so when you want to play them again you don’t have to keep running them where you saved them. Make sure you have Vista.Emulation.DLL in the c:\windows\system32 folder other wise these will not work
To make Minesweeper work:
Extract minesweeper.bat in the directory containing minesweeper.exe
create a shortcut to desktop or something like that
right click on the shortcut
choose properties
Run: select minimize
and enjoy
just run the .bat file to play the game.

I found an easy alternative to the minesweeper.bat file i got it to run simply by going in to the properties and making it compatible for win 98 and nt and it worked without hassle!
Hey Chris minesweeper runs that way but it gives a run time error after we exit the game
i discovered that just now do you think theres a way u can do it without the batch file though its kinda a pain if u want this program to be easy and simple. Also for the actual games explorer 2 things 1 it lags th games like hooribly and i dont know why cuz the games dont lag if i open them out of the explorer and 2 the game explorer shld install itself into the system instead of having games.exe it be kinda kool if u cld take windows X vistart and turn the videos explorer page and stram your game explorer into that seeming as how a lot of us took his meny and made it say my games with the games pic so hope u continue yor work its great
I was a little pissed to find out that Chess Titans was not on the Vista Basic OS.
Is there anyone that can get it to work on Vista Basic? I have tried everything from the xml files, to registry entries and even taking the the entire program directory from another machine.
Any suggestions?

HELP, I am an absolute beginner but I need to have purple place on my PC. I downloaded the file, put the dll thing in the system 32 folder but the game does not work, I always get the error :
“Unable to find a DirectX 3D device to render to”. My laptop had vista before but we put XP on to make it faster, What do I need or what can I do to make purple place run???

Hey does this vista emulator let you run anything you want from the vista os? or was it written only to allow xp to run vista’s games? I’m assuming it’s a hack because there weren’t any questions about it on wiki or yahoo, and a question i did find in google from yahoo got deleted so I am assuming this isn’t approved by Mr. Gates

its works like a charm for Windows Vista Sidebar on xp … and vista games ……. it also works fine if u want to run Vista’s paint on xp 
…… if u want to run any thing else then download a program called VAIOXP 
…… this can patch almost any thing and allow you to run it on xp 
Vista.Emulation.dll is a hack to allow xp users to run any thing u want from vista os ………

For people having trouble running Inkball:
- if you click the executable and nothing seems to hapen: install journalviewer

- If you get an error report, just double click again. (without closing the windows that open) If you do this right it should work perfectly!

I LOVE what you’ve done with these games. My favorite is “Shanghai”… I’m nearly addicted. However, I’ve discovered that it doesn’t save my statistics overnight! Are you working on a fix for that? Also, I often get a Runtime error when I start the game. Is there anything I can do about these problems?
