Well since there were no ways for Vista Games Explorer to get emulated to xp, I decided to make my own Game Explorer

If you want to run Vista Game Explorer On Xp you will first need
To download all the vista games from: http://rakshits.wordpress.com/2007/06/23/windows-vista-games-for-xp-update/ or Here
Then download The Game Explore from: http://www.MegaShare.com/212056
It is still a beta because not all the buttons are interactive but as all my Beta testers say its looks exactly like the real thing ……. ……………Remember to install the font Segoe Ui (to install the font just put the font in C:\WINDOWS\Fonts)

NOTE: To run minesweeper from the Game Explorer make a folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Minesweeper Game in this folder place Minesweeper.bat make a shot cut of it and name it Minesweeper Game.bat

i cant seem to get the minesweeper incon to work i have the shortcut in the folder it works if i click it but the program dosnt load it
To run minesweeper from the Game Explorer make a folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Minesweeper Game in this folder place Minesweeper.bat make a shot cut of it and name it Minesweeper Game.bat

But, there is simplest trick to run Minesweeper
There is no need to make any .bat files or shortcuts!
First make these few steps:
Find folder: “C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\local settings\Application Data\Microsoft Games”
and change “write” rights to Minesweeper folder to “deny”!
And Minesweeper will works without batch files and shortcuts
I forgot one thing. After steps mentioned above, delete all contents of “C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\local settings\Application Data\Microsoft Games\Minesweeper folder.

Great Thing Man… There use to be lot of fight between me and my two tiny daughters on using Vista Games in my Lap top.. Now I’m free that they can use Desktop having XP with Vista Stuff. Thanx a Lot!!!
Does my other games will be placed in the Game explorer like on vista??
I can’t seem to get Ink Ball to work correctly on my Windows XP Professional. It doesn’t really give me an error, but the usual XP error:
“Executable for InkBall Game has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”
I can post the Technical Report if you want, but only upon request, because it’s rather long.
I’m also going to upload all of these to my own server so you can have an extra mirror for downloading. I’ll post the URL’s here once it’s successfully uploaded.

It would be great if there was a non-vista looking variation of this. Maybe something that went full screen so you got the full experience. Or something similar to itunes… MS should make a dashboard app for windows to help pc gaming, since its starting to do things like compatible 360 controllers…
